Female Assassins

A quick edit of the Dragon Tides preview of the female assassin sculpt.
I opted to give her sais and changed her leg position. I also tried removing her boots to give her heels, a mask, and changed her boots into a cool gauntlet / arm protector.

Irony

Irony by *AngelCrusher on deviantART

Just remembered...my blog was supposed to show my ARTWORK!

Ugh...so, here is something I finished recently as of this morning. Quite liked it, but then I did smother it with textures and stuff that make it look better than what it is. Anyway, its a gift art piece of someone else's character, which you can find out if you click the deviantArt link.

I imagine.

Terrax Edit

So, over at the Classic Marvel Figurine Collection blog, I offered some pointed in which I thought the Terrax sculpt could be improved slightly, but with most people being impressed with the sculpt my opinions fell on deaf ears. Maybe its me being picky, as it is a lovely sculpt and style of it, I just had a few issues, mainly that I thought the pose felt too stiff.

My suggestions were slight bends in the elbows, a little rotation in the forearms and wrists and tilting the head down to face the viewer more directly. It does seem like a little pretentious or picky that I know better, and it was suggestion I sketch up what I thought.

I think I did better. I just edited the pictures provided, so it gives a better idea of what the figurine would look like. And because I apparently got too much time on my hands, I stupidly coloured over it too.

But I hope the bend in the arms are more clear, and his fist and wrist twisted gives a better gesture than before. While he stills has a slight tilt of the head to reflect his angry gesture, he is no longer looking into the heavens cursing god. This guy should be towering above others and shouldnt need to be gesturing upwards. I debated changing the way the axe looked and considered rotating that, but I thought it gives a clear silhouette like this and left it.

So...now that I can see this version looks better, hopefully others agree, EM take note and make the little tweaks needed to make the best figurine possible.

Hey, it may be picky, but I am spending money on this thing.

154 - Hello Sailor!

Just playing in photoshop sketching with a different brush. Thought I would try a sort of watercolour children's book style and this character gradually turned into a sailor. Some reason photoshop didnt like me using the brush and kept crashing. I didnt save during this, so I was just screen capturing and keeping on building on top of the one layer.

152 - D'awwwwwwwg

Practicing drawing cute-ish characters, so here is a little doggy. Also using some texture to get used to using them too. Quite happy with it.

129 - Nearly Finished

Very small update. Tweaked the background abit, made the image look abit more cinematic like the Telephone video. I exported the character from flash to add to the digital background, so had to adjust and tweak a few things to get rid of the white background and a few of the errors. Next is the next, then maybe a few extras, but should be finished tomorrow. :)

128 - Jail Background

Messing around with a quick background to use with my Foxy Gaga image. Dunno about the actual jail bars...maybe I need to space them out more, but meh, this is for yesterday too.

St George

Finished this commission off today. Good fun. Inked in Flash, coloured in photoshop. I like how it came out. Was unsure whether to shade or not, personally I liked it without shading, but its a commission and felt I had to add to it. Heroic Saint George standing over the fallen dragon, england banner in background, as well as flaming hills, as requested.
Done.

'Real' Frieza

I saw some cool videos on youtube of people making 'realistic' versions of cartoon characters, so I wanted to try it out myself. So here is my photo-manipulation of Dragonball z villain Frieza. I haven't really done photo-manipulation before, so I liked how it came out.
